A silly quiz

Just one silly quiz today...
What Clothing Material Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Hey, you're Denim! You're cool. You're versatile, and everyone would like you, even if you don't like them. You're also intelligent, and most likely you've got a decent sense of humour.

A day that just can't end soon enough...
(Originally published by Nattie on September 09, 2003)
I'm having one of those days that just can't end soon enough.
- The kids baked another "cake" this morning.
- They turned the oven on this time.
- Jonathan burned his thumb.
- They tore their room apart again!
- They keep fighting!
- They are driving me nuts!
- It takes them an hour and 1/2 to pick up toys.
- I have a headache.
- If I hear "Mom" one more time I'll scream!
- If I have to tell them to "Stop" one more time, I'm walking out the door...
- And to make matters worse, my computer is being very, very fractious!!! Help!
Why do there have to be days like this?!

Monday Madness
(Originally published by Nattie on September 01, 2003; prompts by Monday Madness.)
- If you discovered the brakes on your car weren't working, what would be the first thing you'd do? (Assume that you NEEDED to stop.)
I'd try to find a safe area to stop, even if I had to run myself off the road.
- Do you consider yourself to be a safe driver; respecting speed limits and all other road rules?
I tend to speed without realizing it. That is why I love cruise control. It keeps me legal.
- If you see someone on the side of the road that appears to be having car problems, would you stop to help them? Why or why not?
I always want to stop, but worry about safety. I guess I need to be more of a WWJD'er.

The Highs and Lows of Motherhood
(Originally published by Nattie on September 01, 2003)
Low ~ Watching your son poke his sister for no reason other than he wanted her cereal.
Low ~ Watching him hit his sister for the same ol' reason (even after punishment and being reprimanded!).
Low ~ Getting hit by a nerf football thrown by your son.
High ~ Getting kisses (yes, more than one--I kept saying it still hurt. You've got to get those kisses from little boys while you can!) on your arm where you were hit by a nerf football.
Low ~ Making your son cry when you break his nerf football on accident.
High ~ Folding laundry and having a little helper without even asking.
Low ~ Scaring your son when you say you are going to lie down and "die." (I hadn't slept well the night before)
High ~ Having your son say, "I don't want you to die."
High ~ Having your son baby you and fix you a sandwich.
High ~ Having your son put a mustard smiley face on your sandwich.
High ~ Having both your son and daughter lie down in bed with you because they want to be close to you.
Some days there are more highs than lows. Thankfully today was one of those days. *crossing fingers* Then again it isn't over yet.
"God grant me the serenity to accept that which I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference, living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will, so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next." - Reinhold Niebuhr

A night-night prayer
(Originally published by Nattie on September 01, 2003)
Every night when I tuck the kids in, we say our night-night prayer. Here is a sample of the prayer...
"Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep;
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
"God bless, Mommy
Daddy
Bubby
Doggie
Dinosaur
Sissy
Babydoll..."
(Insert anyone else they want to bless--such as Nana, Papaw, Mamaw, Nanny, Pappy, etc.)
"Thank you, Lord for..." (and this is where it can get really interesting; it could include one, none or all of the following)...
* clay
* Wiggles videos
* library books
* marbles
* crayons
* paper
* toy guns
* church
* vacation bible school
* ice cream trucks
* treats
* park
* yogurt
"...in Jesus' name we pray,
amen"
I wish you could hear the inflection in their voices especially if I forget something!

Silly Quizzes
(Originally published by Nattie on August 31, 2003)
I love silly quizzes. What better way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon?
Well, a better way would be curled up under an afghan with a good book, but the kids keep fighting and breaking my concentration. So instead...I visit Quizilla
I am a GIRLY-GIRL. You don't have a lot of self-esteem and people are always bringing you down for being sad. What do they know, anyway? You feel as if you're too mature for your age and are frustrated by the trend-followers who refuse to accept you because you're different from them.
Your virtues: Intelligence, understanding nature, modesty.
Your flaws: Lack of social life, inferiority complex, timidity.
What kind of girl are you?
